The award is designed to recognize recent doctoral candidates who have completed original thesis work of outstanding scientific quality and achievement in one or more DRUID research areas. The award is intended to provide a forum for exceptional young Ph.D.s to publicize and promote their research and findings. The winner and runner-ups will be recognized at the annual summer conference, and their dissertations will be included on the DRUID web site.
